Zipari is located in a plain, north of Asfendiou and is crossed by the provincial road from Kos to Kefalos. Located about 11 kilometers from the city of Kos, it has a population of 3227 inhabitants according to the 2011 census. In this settlement, a large number of people from Asfendiou relocated here, so today there is Kindergarten, Primary School, High School and a Parish Church with a temple of the Ascension of Christ. ruins of the paleochristian basilica of St. Paul and the Basilica of Kapama.

St Paul's Basilica: Basilica of St. Paul was found in 1935 and is located near the settlement of Zipari. It is speculated that the basilica was part of a city of the ancient Municipality of Fyxioton that was never explored.
Basilica of Kapama: The basilica was excavated in the summer of 1936 and is particularly interesting because of it's Baptistery, which is circular, covered with dome, the walls have recesses and doors all around that lead to corridors and there are mosaics on the floor.
