Agios Theologos is popular for its flame-coloured sunsets and far-off seaside tavern. Located about 46 kilometres from Kos town, this shingle beach demands that you carry your elastic water shoes and may not be ideal for constant refreshing dips. But whilst in the area, it is surely worthy of a visit in the afternoon to admire an explosion of colours unveiled before your eyes.

The idyllic beach consists of golden cliff masses and chiselled coves with blue-green Mediterranean waters. A truly one-of-a-kind scenery away from the crowds. It is usually windy and the waves are strong - perfect for surfing enthusiasts one would say. Even though the beach is not really organised - bringing a few things is a must, there are a few sun-beds to rent. Despite its relatively easy access, about seven kilometres west of Kefalos, a visit to Agios Theologos feels every bit a remote escape.
